A little history of the Seguin Board of REALTORS(R) taken verbatim from the minutes:

At a publicly announced meeting of Real Estate Licensees in Seguin and Guadalupe County, a meeting was convened at 7:30 p.m. on June 12, 1962, in the Court-Room of the Guadalupe County Court-House at Seguin, Texas.

Purpose of the meeting was to organize a Seguin Board of Realtors. This objective was accomplished by the adoption of appropriate By-Laws, and electing Officers and Directors to administer to the Seguin Board of Realtors. Officers and Directors elected to serve for the fiscal year term ending on December 31, 1962, unless an extended term is indicated, are as follows:

Officers: Ross Langley, President; Frank Bohuslav, Vice President; Mimi Schriewer, Secretary; and L.W. Bates, Treasurer.

Directors: Raymond Boerger, James Schuessler (2-year term), and Dick Waldrip (3-year term).

The meeting was adjourned at 10:50 p.m. on June 12, 1962.

A Charter was issued by the National Association of Real Estate Boards to Seguin Board of Realtors on November 13, 1962.
